Schools who take the Challenge work together to reduce electricity consumption over a period of four weeks. You will track and compare your savings during the Challenge, but your energy conservation will continue long after the results are announced. You are a winner just by participating!

The Challenge is open to any public, private, charter, or independent K-12 school. The Challenge creates a friendly rivalry between nearby participating schools. To find out more about how your school can participate, click on the instructions or, if you are ready, go directly to the "registration" page.

Kick Off Conferences

Many of the Green Cup Energy Challenge schools are holding Kick-Off Conferences to show schools how to organize and manage an Energy Challenge. Some are live events, others are on-line streaming conferences. Here is the Deerfield Academy Kick-off from last year.
