Although videos are optional, we encourage all schools to submit a Green Cup Challenge video.
NOTE: The deadline for submitting videos is March 16th.Videos submitted by registered GC Challenge schools after that date that meet the guidelines will be placed on the Green Cup video page, but they will not be eligible for voting. Non-vote videos may be submitted here up until the end of the Challenge.
Deadline: Videos must be available on YouTube by March 16th, 2012. Voting for videos will run from March 20-30. Rseults will be announced in early April.
Length: The maximum length of the video is 3 minutes. Please edit as necessary. Videos longer than 3 minutes will not be eligible for voting.
Purpose: Videos should be student written and directed for presentation to the school community and the public. It should create awareness, excitement and motivation about the Green Cup Challenge.
Theme: Creativity and individual style are encouraged. The video is intended to raise awareness about Climate Change and the environment and what everyone can do to make a difference.
Submissions: Student video submission is limited to one video per school. Upload your videos directly to YouTube.
YouTube Comments Must be Turned Off: The Green Cup Challenge requires the "Comments" be disabled for your video hosted on YouTube. Here is how to disable the comments.
Copyrighted Material: Each entry must be original and created for the 2012 GCC and must respect all Trademark and Copyright Laws. The Green Cup Challenge™ reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion. Here are the YouTube Copyright Laws.
Safety Guidelines: Does not include material that depicts bullying behavior or violence of any kind; Does not include the names of students anywhere in the video; Does not include material that is sexually explicit or suggestive, profane, or contains nudity; Does not include material that is derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; Does not promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms, or weapons.
