2010 Green Cup Challenge Results

plant treesIndividual Acts Lead to Collective Action

Congratulations to all the schools who participated this year and especially those who achieved significant reductions in cutting their carbon footprint.

Together we reduced our electricity consumption by an average of 5% from baseline. That means a total reduction of 1,254,000 kWh from our electric bills and 1,680,000 lbs of CO2 that was not released into the atmosphere from power plants.

Thank you to all of the school coordinators, teachers, staff, students, parents and administrators who worked together to complete the Challenge. Collectively, we are making a big difference.

The regional winners are shown with a sunmill: sunmill
